This is a fantastic c1870 stepped, painted miniature folk frame. Excellent little plum/wine(?) color painted frame with stepped, pyramidal molding that has a beautiful, well worn surface. The frame is in excellent condition and has wavy glass, a little shingle backing and period brass loop hanger. Cut down from a larger frame this miniature measures 5 3/4 x 6 1/2 with a 2 1/4 x 3 rabbet. A knockout of a miniature frame. Please email with any questions.
