Sir Albrecht Friedrich Prince in Prussia andMargrave of Brandenburg, Magdeburg, Cleves, Jülich, Berge, Stettin, Pomerania,of the Kashubians and Wends, Mecklenburg, also in Silesia, Duke of Krossen,Burgrave of Nuremberg, Prince of Halberstadt, Minden and Kammin, Wenden andSchwerin and Ratzebuhr, Count of Hohenzollern and Schwerin, Lord of the landsof Rostock, Stargard, Lauenburg and Bütow, Master of the chivalric Order of St.John in the Mark of Saxony, Pomerania and Wendland;

I am Martin Ernst Holtz, the presentofficiating bailiff: I certify to all those who require and need to know thatthe following persons have appeared in presence here in ordinary office: AnnaDorothea Schurin, surviving widow of Johann Heinrich Büchner, former barber inGrelitz, who has politely given me to understand that she needs writteninformation and certification in attested form of his honest birth for her sonJohann Caspar Büchner to learn the pottery craft. At the same time, she alsointroduced two credible men to me, namely Jürgen Wernicke, a village mayor, andCaspar Butschcke, a court official from Grelitz, who, with a good conscienceand a sense of duty - by which they are obliged to God Almighty in Heaven andto His Royal Highness Margrave Albrecht Friedrich, my most gracious lord - withbared heads and fingers raised for the oath, that they are exactly aware andthat it is true that Johann Caspar Büchner, according to Christian church orderfrom a pure, blameless marriage relationship of his father Johann HeinrichBüchner, at that time a barber here in Grelitz, and his mother Anna DorotheaSchurin, was born on the 27th of January 1706 and thereupon according to thestatement of the Reverend Christianus Anesorgen, according to the issued churchdocument from Grelitz in the presence of his requested baptismal witnesses -namely: Mr. Johannis August Ledin, medical licentate - Mr. Johannes Hanesch,administrator at Harnekop - Mr. Johann Lehman, clerk from the districtadministration in Grelitz, - was brought to the sacrament of Holy Baptism onFebruary 1 of the same year.

His paternal grandfather was Johann Caspar Büchner, barber in Zossen, and hismaternal grandfather was Johann Schure, former citizen and master tailor fromWrietzen. These have, as is generally known, at all times made a marital andsincere life and behavior, so that nothing derogatory to their honorablenesscould be said against them. Therefore, I could grant his justified request allthe more benevolently.

And everyone of his rank is duly requested not only to give complete credenceto this, my issued certificate and the opened birth certificate, but also toshow the above-mentioned Johann Caspar Büchner all support for his advancementand to accept him willingly in all guilds and crafts and to let him feel thisrecommendation fruitfully. For his part, he owes it to himself to acknowledgethis with due thanks and he will therefore likewise endeavor to live in such away that he knows how to duly repay such concession in every situation.

This birth certificate has been authenticatedby His Royal Highness with the attached official seal and my own handwrittensignature.

So happened in the district of Grelitz -- OnFebruary 26th of the year one thousand seven hundred and nineteen.
