Here is a Recent Estate Find. This is a Rare Large Original Early 19th Century Framed Engraving by Wagstaff, Charles Edward (London, 1808 - 1850). This is an Engraving from and Original Painting by George Harvey of the Historic \"Battle Of Drumclog fought between the Covenanters and Royal Troops on Sunday June 1st, 1679, in South Lanarkshire Scotland\". This is Matted and Framed Under Glass in a Period Correct Mahogany Wood Frame with Raised Ebony Inner and Outer Borders and Gold Gilded Inner Trim with Pegged Corners, Absolutely Stunning!!! The Frame is in Good Condition with normal wear from age, It is Large and measures approx. 38 1/2\" x 28 1/4\" Framed. The Engraving is in Good Condition, as pictured, Click and Enlarge Photos for details, There is light staining on the bottom border, otherwise fine! C.E. Wagstaff (London, 1808 - 1850) rose to the top of his artistic profession. He started as an apprentice engraver inLondon and went on to engrave the portraits Prince Albert and the Duke of Wellington.
