Lovely old clock. 11 3/4" wooden dial is nicely signed, "Camerer Kuss Broad Street Bloomsbury", London. Dial is a bit tatty but acceptable. Case is ok as far as the lower bit is concerned but is missing a lot of brass inlay around the dial. My idea would be to re-veneer the alternate damaged sections at 10.30, 1.30, 4.30 and 7.30, leaving the other four sections as they are with their completely intact brass inlay. The grain of the walnut case is lovely and would need to be matched though. As far as the works are concerned they look ok but I have not done anything to them. The clock movement runs as it is but the hour and half hour strike needs attention. It strikes in perfect countwheel sequence but I think must be missing one of the pins that trigger the half hour strike. As it is it strikes the hour as the minute hand passes the hour and at the next hour just strikes one because it has failed to strike one at the half hour!! Therefore the clock is sold with no warranty and as being in need of repair. Lovely unusual item though and good quality brass movement too.
