Here\'s a fantastic piece of American Trench Art from WWII! This lovely lass was drawn in pencil by a member of the Armed Forces in 1944 while out to sea!

This drawing is signed by Carlyle Moore. An inscription on the back of the piece states that this was drawn while out to sea in 1944. A search with HonorStates.org indicates that Carlyle D. Moore was from Elkhart, IN, and was killed in action. Moore was awarded the Purple Heart for his service.

Condition:

This piece is in EXCELLENT condition! The frame has very little wear. The piece was not removed from the frame for inspection, but shows very few signs of use or wear besides some light foxing marks in the paper.
