This multicolored stylized floral quilt is vintage. I believe it is from about the 1930's. The time devoted to cut, create an overall pattern and assemble the multitude of hexagon fabric pieces makes this piece a testament to the patience and devotion of the woman who wished to create something of use and beauty from the materials she had at hand. She even scalloped the border to emphasize the hexagon shapes and rimmed it all in a 1/2 inch border of yellow.
