KIA/DOW Personal Effects Bag SALE PRICED Click images to enlarge Description ?This is what I believe to be an ORIGINAL \"personal effects bag\" into which the belongings of Doughboys and other service personnel were placed prior to their burial in-theater during WWI. However, it looks very much like the WWII bags I\'ve had, but I\'m trusting to Manion\'s sale description. The bag is made of lightweight cotton fabric dyedlight olive drab shade #3, with a twill tape closure string, and is approximately 9\" wide by 7.5\" deep. The bag has a water repellent white cloth label sewn to one side in which to write the decedent\'s name and other details of his/her death, unit, rank, home address and other miscellaneous information. The bag is in UNISSUED, MINT condition. Here\'s an opportunity for the advanced medic or Medical Department collector to obtain an increasingly rare and macabre artifact of war for the collection. The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of authenticity and a five-day (not the 14-days which inserts in my listings without my consent) right of inspection and right of return/refund privilege, excluding postage.PLEASE NOTE: Unless the buyer requests priority mail, the bag will be mailed by first class mail at an approximate postage of $5.00 and the unused postage will be refunded to the buyer after mailing when the postage is known to the penny.
